FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCIV) — We Are Sharing Hope SC, South Carolina’s organ and tissue recovery program, is set to host its 20th Annual Race for Life on March 29, 2025, on Folly Beach. The event aims to raise funds for educational programs on organ, eye, and tissue donation across the state.

The race is a unique gathering where transplant recipients run alongside family members of South Carolina donor heroes who have given the gift of life.

“The race is an opportunity to take a moment and remember all those who have given the most precious gift, the gift of life,” said Krystal Cau, Director of Communications at We Are Sharing Hope SC. “We are grateful for our community, hospital partners but most of all our donor families for their bravery and generosity. We hope our event continues to inspire our community and raises awareness for donation and the impact it can have on so many.”

Online registration is now open, with options for a 5K and 10K available online. Participants unable to attend in person can register as a “Hero from Home” to support the donation mission. Early bird pricing is available through Nov. 30, 2024.
