FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCIV) — We Are Sharing Hope SC, South Carolina’s organ and tissue recovery program will be hosting its 20th Annual Race for Life event on Folly Beach this month.
This race is a charity event that raises funds to support educational programs on organ, eye and tissue donation across the state.
“The race is an opportunity to take a moment and remember all those who have given the most precious gift, the gift of life,” said Krystal Cau, Director of Communications at We Are Sharing Hope SC in a prepared statement. “We are grateful for our community, hospital partners but most of all our donor families for their bravery and generosity. We hope our event continues to inspire our community and raises awareness for donation and the impact it can have on so many.”
According to the organizers, they aim to bring together transplant recipients, who then get to run alongside family members of South Carolina donors who gave the gift of life.
