We offer opportunities throughout the year for donor families to meet others walking a similar path through ceremonial events and community get-togethers. Participating in local, regional and national events offers families inspirational moments to see the legacies of their loved ones recognized for their selfless gift of organ, eye and tissue donation as well as feel the impact of the donation community.

Annual Donor Remembrance Event: Our Annual Donor Remembrance Event takes place in May and honors donor heroes from the last three years. This meaningful event includes a luncheon, a special performance and a video montage honoring your loved ones.

Annual Holiday Reflection Event: Our Annual Holiday Reflection Event is at the beginning of each December to honor all of our SHSC donor heroes. This event includes memory making, a candlelight ceremony and donor memorial wall unveiling of updated donor hero names.

Creative Connections: Our DFS team is proud to host Creative Connections Workshops around the state of South Carolina which encourages our donor families to honor their loved one through crafts and memory making as well as share their stories and connect with others.

Virtual Support Groups: Join the DFS Team virtual support groups for a time of sharing, encouraging and honoring the memory of your loved one. These groups are a safe space to meet others on a similar journey for understanding, companionship and encouragement and can be tailored to your unique situation.
